I’ve been professionally diagnosed with bpd and it’s the diagnosis I identify with the most but I keep doubting it?? Because I’m not depressed enough, suicidal enough, acting out enough... I probably have the quiet bpd type most of the time so that might be it but Idk. I feel like an imposter. I’ve never had to go to a mental hospital. Also my traumas were nowhere as severe as the ones I’ve read other borderlines have. I just... don’t know what I am if I’m not borderline...

This is a really common experience for those with BPD to have, Nonnie. If you have BPD, you have it, and comparing yourself to others won’t help, and it will harm you. It’s also important to remember that 20% of those with BPD don’t actually report any past trauma, so please don’t use sevreity of trauma as a comparison to others, as it’s not even needed for the disorder <3

i dont need to have trauma??? holy shit the thing about bpd that's made me feel fake isnt actually even necessary
